Why Nitrogen

THIS IS NITROGEN.

You can build a supplement company. Or you can build something people believe in. We chose the second. Because the world doesn't need another brand telling people to take a scoop, drink a shake, and “be your best self.” We've heard it all before. The recycled slogans. The empty promises. The perfectly edited pictures. The brands that look incredible until you ask what they actually stand for. That's not why we built Nitrogen.

Nitrogen was built because we believe there is still something powerful about doing things the hard way. About putting your head down. About getting your hands dirty. About caring so damn much that quitting isn't an option. About building something that means more than the money it makes. Something that can change people. Something that can outlive us. Something worth leaving behind.

IT STARTED WITH NITRO.

Before Nitrogen was a company, it was a dog. Nitro was Chandler's dog. And if you've ever had a dog that became part of your family, you understand. They're not just there. They're woven into your life. They're there on the good days. They're there on the hard days. They don't care if you won or lost. They don't care if the business went up or down. They don't care what the world thinks of you. They're there. Loyal. Every damn day.

Nitro represented something Chandler never wanted to lose: loyalty, heart, energy, love, and showing up. And then came the day nobody wants to face. Nitro passed away.

There is no clean way to say goodbye to something that was part of your life for so long. You don't just lose a dog. You lose a piece of your everyday life. The footsteps. The presence. The routine. The little things you never realized you'd miss until they're gone.

But here's the thing about the people—and animals—that leave a mark on you: they don't completely leave. What they gave you stays. The memories stay. The lessons stay. The love stays. And sometimes, if you're lucky enough, you find a way to carry that piece of them forward.

That's what Chandler did.

When it came time to name this company, he didn't want to create another random name pulled out of thin air. He wanted Nitro to be part of it. Not just remembered. Carried forward.

So the first part became obvious: NITRO. For the dog who meant so much. For the loyalty. For the heart. For the energy. For the life he lived.

And then came the bigger idea: GEN. Generation.

Because this was never supposed to end with Chandler. It was never supposed to end with Jared. It was never supposed to end with the people buying Nitrogen today.

The name itself carries the mission: NITRO + GEN. Nitro. Generation.

The first half remembers where we came from. The second half points toward where we're going. A name born from something that was lost—turned into something that can live on.

Every bottle. Every tub. Every shirt. Every person who hears the name. Every person who asks, “What's Nitrogen?” Nitro's name keeps moving.

That's powerful to us. Because while Nitrogen grows, in a small way, so does his legacy.

He was here. He mattered. He was loved. And his name isn't disappearing.

It's going forward.

WE DIDN'T BUILD THIS BECAUSE IT WAS EASY.

Chandler remembers sitting at his desk staring at a tub of C4. And something clicked. This wasn't just an interest anymore. This was the industry he loved. This was what he wanted to build. So he did what most people tell you not to do: he went all in.

No guarantee. No easy road. No massive machine waiting behind the curtain. Just an idea, an obsession with the industry, and the willingness to put everything he had behind it.

Then came reality. Formulas. Samples. Flavoring. Manufacturing. Labels. Inventory. Cash. Marketing. Operations. Customers. Mistakes. More mistakes.

And somewhere along the way, Nitrogen launched with 23 products. People thought Chandler was crazy.

Looking back? Maybe they were right.

But there is a difference between being crazy and being unwilling to think small.

We weren't interested in building a tiny company with tiny ambitions. We were trying to build something that could stand next to the biggest names in the industry one day.

That meant learning the hard way. It meant taking punches. It meant making decisions without knowing exactly how they would turn out. It meant waking up the next morning and going back to work anyway.

Because that's the part nobody sees.

Everybody wants the finished company.

Nobody wants the years it takes to build one.

We do.

THEN CAME JARED.

Chandler didn't need another employee. He needed someone who understood the vision.

Jared Hovatter had been close with Chandler for years. And here's what matters: Jared believed before there was anything to believe in.

Before the logo. Before the products. Before the website. Before Nitrogen had proven anything. There was just a name. An idea. A conversation.

And Jared saw it.

He understood what Chandler was trying to build.

That matters more than a résumé ever could.

Because when you're building something from nothing, you learn very quickly who actually believes in you. Some people believe when the numbers look good. Some believe when the company gets attention. Some believe when the brand becomes successful.

And then there are the people who believe when you're sitting there with nothing but an idea.

Jared was one of those people.

That's why he isn't just another person attached to Nitrogen. He's an owner. A partner. A brother in the fight.

And together, Chandler and Jared bring two different strengths to the same mission. Chandler built the original vision. Jared brought another level of knowledge, experience, training, bodybuilding, coaching, nutrition, grit, and perspective.

But the most important thing they brought together wasn't knowledge.

It was belief.

Two guys. One standard. One direction.

Forward.

TWO GUYS FROM WEST VIRGINIA.

We're proud of that.

Because we're not supposed to be here. At least, that's what the world would tell you.

We're from West Virginia. Not some giant corporate headquarters. Not some polished boardroom filled with executives who have never touched the product they're selling.

Just two guys who believed they could build something special.

And that's exactly why we refuse to forget where this came from.

There is a certain kind of person that comes from places like this. You learn to work. You learn to figure things out. You learn that nobody owes you anything.

And if you want something?

You go earn it.

That's the DNA of Nitrogen.

Not entitlement.

Not shortcuts.

Not pretending we've already made it.

Hunger.

WORK LIKE A DOG.

This is the heartbeat of Nitrogen.

Not a hashtag slapped on the bottom of a post. Not some marketing department's attempt to manufacture motivation.

It came from Nitro.

And it became something bigger.

Think about the way a dog lives. When it's time to play—play. When it's time to run—run. When it's time to protect the people it loves—stand your ground. And when tomorrow comes? You wake up and do it again.

No excuses. No overthinking. No waiting for the perfect moment.

Just loyalty. Energy. Persistence. Presence.

Work.

That's what Work Like A Dog means to us.

It means you don't need perfect conditions. You don't need everybody cheering for you. You don't need permission. You don't need to feel motivated every damn morning.

You just need to decide that what you're building matters enough to keep going.

Because there will be days when you don't want to. There will be days when you're tired. There will be days when the numbers suck. There will be days when someone tells you your idea won't work. There will be days when you wonder if you're wasting your time.

Those days don't get to decide who you become.

You do.

So get up. Go to work. Do the next thing. Then the next. Then the next.

Work Like A Dog.

Because Nitro did.

And now his name is going to keep doing it through us.

WE DON'T WANT YOUR MONEY MORE THAN WE WANT YOUR TRUST.

Read that again.

Because this matters.

Of course we're building a business. Of course we want to sell products. Of course we want Nitrogen to become massive.

But none of that means anything if we lose the trust of the people who put our products in their bodies.

We don't want somebody buying Nitrogen because we yelled loud enough.

We want them buying it because they believe in what we're doing.

Because they know we're serious about our formulas. Because they know there's a reason behind the ingredients. Because they know we're not trying to mislead them. Because they know there are real people behind the name.

Chandler. Jared. Our team. Our partners. Our customers.

Real people building a real company.

And when you put Nitrogen on your shelf, we want you to know something:

We don't take that trust lightly.

THE PRODUCTS MATTER.

Because the mission means nothing if the products don't deliver.

That's why we obsess over formulas.

Ingredients matter. Dosages matter. Flavor matters. Experience matters. The details matter.

We're not interested in putting a fancy label on mediocre powder and hoping good marketing carries it.

We want products we're proud to put our names behind. Products we actually want to use. Products that earn a place in your routine.

Because our job isn't simply to make something that looks good on a shelf.

Our job is to earn the right to stay there.

BUT THE PRODUCTS AREN'T THE LEGACY.

This is the part that matters most.

Years from now, we don't want people to remember Nitrogen because we had a great pre-workout.

We want them to remember what the brand made them feel.

We want someone to say, “That brand made me want to work harder.”

We want someone to say, “Nitrogen was there when I was rebuilding myself.”

We want someone to say, “Work Like A Dog changed the way I looked at my life.”

We want a kid who discovers Nitrogen years from now to look at the story and think:

“If they built that from West Virginia, maybe I can build something too.”

That's impact.

That's what matters.

ONE DOG. ONE LIFE. ONE NAME. A LEGACY THAT KEEPS MOVING.

Nitro was one dog. One life. One family. One story.

But the impact of a life isn't measured by how many people knew you. Sometimes it's measured by what you leave inside the people who did.

Nitro changed Chandler.

And because Nitro changed Chandler, Nitro helped shape Nitrogen.

And because Nitrogen exists, his name now has a chance to reach people he never could have met.

That's incredible when you really think about it.

A dog from West Virginia can have his name printed on products that end up in people's hands across the country.

People who will never know his story.

People who will never have met him.

But they'll see his name.

Nitro.

And they'll know that it stands for something.

That's what we mean by legacy.

Not trying to keep someone alive through a story.

Making sure the best parts of what they gave you keep moving forward.

Nitro gave us something.

So we're giving it forward.

WE WANT TO BUILD SOMETHING THAT OUTLIVES US.

Eventually, Chandler won't be here.

Neither will Jared.

Neither will any of us.

That's reality.

So the question isn't, “How big can we make Nitrogen?”

The better question is:

“What will Nitrogen leave behind?”

Will it be another company that existed for a few years? Another logo? Another supplement line? Another name people eventually forget?

Not a chance.

We want a legacy.

We want to build something that can keep moving without us. A company with a soul. A community with a standard. A message that doesn't expire. A story that keeps getting passed down.

From one person to another.

From one generation to the next.

That's why GEN is in the name.

Because we're not just building for today.

We're building for whoever comes next.

NITRO DIDN'T GET TO SEE HOW FAR THIS COULD GO.

But his name can.

That's something we don't take lightly.

Every step forward is another step his name takes with us.

Every person who joins this community becomes another person who gets to know the story.

Every product we create becomes another place where his name lives.

Every generation that comes after us gets another piece of the story.

And maybe one day, someone will ask:

“Why is it called Nitrogen?”

And we'll tell them.

Because it started with a dog named Nitro.

Because he meant something.

Because he was loved.

Because he left an impact.

Because when he was gone, Chandler decided that the best way to honor that impact wasn't to let the name disappear.

It was to carry it forward.

That's Nitrogen.

THIS IS BIGGER THAN US.

That's the point.

Nitrogen started with Chandler.

Then it became Chandler and Jared.

Then it became a team.

Then customers started wearing the name.

People started sharing the products.

People started talking about the mission.

And eventually, if we do this right—

Nitrogen won't belong to two guys from West Virginia anymore.

It will belong to everybody who believes in what it stands for.

The person grinding in a garage gym. The athlete under the bar. The runner putting in miles before sunrise. The entrepreneur working until midnight. The parent trying to become healthier. The coach pushing somebody else forward. The person starting over. The person who refuses to stay down. The person who has absolutely no idea how they're going to get there—but is going anyway.

Those are our people.

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR EASY, THIS PROBABLY ISN'T FOR YOU.

We're not going to tell you that success is easy.

We're not going to tell you that supplements will change your life.

They won't.

You will.

The products can support the work. They can help fuel the mission. They can become part of the routine.

But the work?

That's yours.

Nobody can take that from you.

Nobody can do your reps. Nobody can eat your meals. Nobody can run your miles. Nobody can build your business. Nobody can fix your life. Nobody can chase your dream.

That's your job.

And if you're willing to do it—

we'll be right there with you.

THIS IS OUR PROMISE.

We will keep pushing. We will keep learning. We will keep improving. We will keep building products we believe in. We will keep telling the truth about where we came from. We will keep remembering Nitro. We will keep carrying his name forward. We will keep honoring the people who believed in us before anybody knew our name. We will keep building from West Virginia with a vision that reaches far beyond it. And we will keep working toward something bigger than ourselves.

Because we don't want to build the biggest supplement company just to say we did.

We want to build a company that means something.

A company that people trust. A company that people are proud to stand behind. A company that makes people want to get up and go to work. A company that leaves something behind.

THIS IS NITROGEN.

NITRO — for the dog who started it.

NITRO — for the life that changed Chandler.

NITRO — for the name that refused to disappear.

GEN — for the generations still to come.

WEST VIRGINIA — where we learned to work.

CHANDLER + JARED — two guys who believed the vision was worth betting everything on.

WORK LIKE A DOG — the standard.

THE PRODUCTS — built to support the work.

THE PEOPLE — the reason we keep going.

THE LEGACY — the reason we started in the first place.

This isn't about pretending we've already arrived.

We haven't.

We're hungry.

We're still climbing. Still building. Still fighting. Still dreaming bigger.

And that's exactly where we want to be.

Because the best part of this story hasn't happened yet.

We're writing that part right now.

So if you're here—welcome.

If you've been here since the beginning—thank you.

If you believe in what we're building—you're one of us.

And if you're standing at the bottom of your own mountain wondering whether you're capable of climbing it—stop wondering.

Put your head down.

Take the first step.

Then another.

And another.

When it gets hard, keep going.

When nobody believes, keep going.

When you get knocked down, get back up.

And when the world tells you to slow down—

remember where you came from.

Remember what you're building.

Remember who you're becoming.

Remember the name.

NITRO.

Then go to work.

WORK LIKE A DOG.

FROM NITRO.

FOR THE GENERATION TO COME.

THIS ISN'T THE FINISH LINE.

THIS IS THE BEGINNING.
